SUBJECT: Notice of Proposed Amendment to Article VI, Section 1 

Proposed Amendment Text

Amend Article VI, Section 1 (Board Members - Qualifications) by adding the following provision:

Board members must be a voting member of the Booster Club; provided, however, that in the event no eligible Voting Member is nominated or available to fill the office of Treasurer, the Board of Directors may nominate and approve a qualified Volunteer Member or a trusted community member to serve in the Treasurer position by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the Board. To qualify under this provision, the individual must be an alumnus of the school and/or have received a referral from a board member, and must successfully be cleared as a Johnston County Public Schools Level 2 Volunteer. In addition to the duties listed for each office below, officers agree to those other and further duties as may be, from time to time, requested by the President and Vice President.
